Answer

1. The old man said that the place where he once lived had not rained for ten years. The people there were very poor and were suffering from hunger.
2. The boy felt sad and disappointed as he reached the mud-hut. He had hoped to find the clouds there, but they were nowhere to be seen.
3. The boy stood under the Jamun tree and let the raindrops fall on his head and face. He was happy to finally see the rain, and he knew that it would bring relief to the people of his village.
4. The clouds shed rain in the absence of the boy because they were not aware of his presence. They were simply following their natural course, and they did not know that their rain would bring so much happiness to the boy and his village.
