Dear Madam,
As Rosy has completed her examinations at school, I should be most grateful if she could be excused attendance for this remainder of this term. My cook has been away for three weeks now and on Tuesday last, I am, therefore, seriously understaffed whilst the house is full of visitors.
Rosy is of great value in the guest house and if you are kind enough to consent to her absence, you will be doing me a great service.
