Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was born on 11 November 1888. He was a poet who wrote in Urdu and also worked as a journalist. He protested against British Raj and was an enthusiastic supporter of Gandhiji’s ideas. Azad wrote several books, including ‘India wins freedom’ and ‘Ghubar-e-Khatir’.
