They are also known as “trophic hormones” or “stimulating hormones”. Examples of tropic hormones include thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH).
