Lenz’s law: The direction of induced emf or current always tends to oppose the very cause which produces it.
Lenz’s law is based on the law of conservation of energy. It shows that the mechanical energy spent in doing work against the opposing force experienced by the moving magnet transformed into electrical energy, which is the cause of the flow current in the coil.
