Answer

acceleration (a) = 2 m s^-2

time (t) = 5 s

Initial velocity (u) = 5.0 m s ^-1

Acceleration (a) = $v-u\over t$

or, 2 = $v-5\over 5$

or, v-5 = 2 × 5 = 10

or, v = 15 m s ^-1

Hence, the final velocity = 15 m s ^-1.
