The S.I. unit of force is Newton (N) and the C.G.S. unit of force is dyne.

Relationship between newton and dyne —

1 newton = 1 kg × 1 m s^-2

= 1000 g × 100 cm s^-2

= 10⁵ g cm s^-2

= 10⁵ dyne.

Thus, 1 newton = 10⁵ dyne.
