India is my motherland. I was born and brought up in India. I am proud to be an Indian. Once in ancient times, she was at the zenith of civilization when other countries were leading barbaric and savage life. India’s glory chiefly rests on her heritage and culture, her spirit of non-violence and universal brotherhood.
I am, however, deeply pained at the sorry state of affairs. My motherland appears to be affected by several ills. There are several problems that are plaguing her. But this creates a resolve in my heart to rebuild her into a better India. Let me imagine the form of India of my dream.
My India will be a developed and civilized country. She will be free from the problems of overpopulation and corruption, unemployment and illiteracy, pollution and crime, casteism and superstition.
The citizens of my dreamland would be educated and enlightened, ever ready to lend their helping hand to all those who are needy and suffering. They will be secular in word and deed.
India of my dreams will uphold the spirit of unity in diversity in true sense of the word. She will lead the rest of the world towards a fuller and richer life. She will be strong but will be known by the work it does in the field of peace.
She will lead the world with her tender policies in which welfare of the world is looked after. She will readily come to the rescue of all those people who are suffering from the scourge of terrorism and want. The world will look to her as its saviour.
