Given, the distance moved in 2 revolutions = 1 mm

∴ Distance moved in 1 revolution = mm = 0.5 mm

Converting 0.5 mm to cm,

0.5 mm = cm = 0.05 cm

∴ Pitch of screw gauge is 0.05 cm
