The length, breadth and height of a cuboidal room are 5 m, 4 m, and 3 m respectively. Let us write the length of the longest rod which can be kept in that room.

Length of the rod = Diagonal of the room

=\sqrt{1^2+b^2+h^2}

=\sqrt{5^2+4^2+3^2}=\sqrt{25+16+9}=\sqrt{50}=5 \sqrt{2} m
