The Clever Crow
A crow was perched on a tree, holding a piece of meat in its beak. A fox passed by, and its mouth watered at the sight of the meat. The fox had a plan and said to the crow, “Your voice is known to be beautiful. Can you sing for me?”
The crow thought it was a good opportunity to show off its talent and opened its beak to sing. But as soon as it did, the piece of meat fell from its beak. The fox quickly grabbed it and ran away.
But the crow had tricked the fox. It had kept the meat under its feet and pretended to sing, knowing that the fox would try to steal the meat. The clever crow had saved its meal and outsmarted the fox.
