Riku was a lazy rabbit. He never did any work. He walked and hopped slowly. He was always late everywhere because he was slow and lazy. His parents used to warn him, “Son, please leave this bad habit of laziness. This can make you suffer.” But Riku did not pay any attention to their advice. One day, Riku was lying under a shady tree. Some of the rabbits were playing nearby. Just then another rabbit, named Tiku, came running and said, “Friends! run away. The wolf is coming here. He will eat all of us.” Hearing this, all the rabbits ran away. But Riku did not get up because of his laziness. He thought, ‘The wolf is far away. I can sleep a little more.’ Soon the wolf came there and Riku could not run away. The wolf pounced on Riku and killed him. Thus, Riku lost his life just because of his laziness.
