King Vishnuram had three daughters, named Sudha, Kasturiya and Malini. When he grew old, he decided to divide his kingdom into two parts as it would be the right thing to do. This means that only two daughters could get the kingdom and the third would not get any.
One day, he called them one by one and asked a common question, “How much do you love me?” Sudha and Kasturiya were cunning. They both said that they loved him more than anything in the world.
Malini was called in the end. She said, “I love you as much as a daughter ought to love her father.” The king was not happy with this answer and did not give her any part. Not only this, he banished her from the kingdom.
Fortunately, the king of France happened to see and fall in love with her. This was how she became the Queen of France.
