Two Biologically Important Compounds Containing Both Oxygen and Nitrogen:
- Amino Acids – These are the building blocks of proteins and contain both oxygen and nitrogen in their structure. Example: Glutamine and Asparagine.
- Nucleic Acids (DNA & RNA) – These molecules store genetic information and are composed of nitrogenous bases (adenine, guanine, cytosine, etc.) and phosphate groups containing oxygen.
