(a) m² + 1\over m² = (m + 1\over m )² – 2
= (√3)² – 2
= 3 – 2 = 1
(b) m³ + 1\over m³ = (m + 1\over m )³ – 3 (m + 1\over m )
= (√3)³ – 3 (√3)
= 3√3 – 3 √3
= 0
