✓Answer
When the diagonals of a trapezium meet, the ratios in which they are divided equal the ratio of the parallel sides.
So, AO/OC = AD/BC.
Given: AO/OC = 1/2 and AD = 4,
therefore AD/BC = 1/2
⇒ BC = 2 × AD = 2 × 4 = 8 cm
