One day, a little lamb was grazing in a meadow by the edge of a forest. Suddenly, a cruel wolf spotted the little lamb. He thought, ‘Ah! It’s my dinner time. I’ll go and get the lamb for dinner.’ So, the wolf ran and caught the lamb. Just when he was about to eat it, the lamb said, “Please grant me a last wish before you eat me up.” The wolf agreed and said, “What is your last wish?” “I want you to play the flute. I will dance to its tune. After dancing I will get tired and then you can eat me up.” The wolf agreed and began playing the flute and the lamb started dancing. When the wolf was playing the flute, some shepherd dogs heard it. They came to the spot. They saw the little lamb near the wolf. They attacked the wolf. The wolf ran away to save his life. He thought, ‘What a fool I am! Why at all did I think myself a musician!’
