Sir,
I am extremely sorry to state that I could not be present in my class on September 4.
While coming to school I saw a speeding car hitting a pedestrian. The driver fled away from the scene. The victim was profusely bleeding. I hired a taxi and took the victim to a hospital. By the time I was free it was already 2 p m I thought I would inform you the next day. So this letter.
On September 4, I was to speak in the morning assembly I am sorry that I could not do that Kindly grant me leave for that day and oblige.
