When a battery lights a bulb, the energy changes involved are as follows:
The chemical energy stored in the battery is first converted into Electrical energy, which flows through the circuit to the bulb, and then this electrical energy is converted into light energy (to produce light) and heat energy (as the bulb gets warm).
So, the transformation is:
Chemical energy → Electrical energy → Light energy + Heat energy.
