Let the cost price (CP) be 100
Given profit = 25% of CP = 25
So, selling price (SP) = CP + profit
= 100 + 25
= 125
Therefore,
CP : SP = 100 : 125
CP : SP = 4 : 5
Hence, the ratio of cost price to selling price is 4 : 5
